Arrington de Dionyso with Graeme W. Smith - Songs of Psychic Fire Volume 5 The Book Of Angels

The session by the mystery man in Olympia and the classical harp player. The performance including what I'd like to call improvisation dub which he effects throat singing is great.

New direction fro the arts - Mass projection

The performance in 1973 by the unit Masayuki Takayanagi leaded. Thoroughly furious and noisey performance which I should say the beauty of chaos take me breath away.

Die erste Walpurgisnacht - 2015.04.05 the death anniversary of scattering flowers

Psychedelic improvisation doom the distortion guitar which is more noisy and louder than Sunn O ))) and heavy drums paint the space black. Here is the newest Japanese rock now.

Masayuki Takayanagi and new direction - Mass Projection

From the gig in 1970. It's the hardcore session that the freaky and noisey guitar which realizes me Takayanagi is the pioneer of Japanese noise is tearing up the space freely and the incredibly dynamic drumming by Yoshizaburo Toyozumi is raging.

Camizole「Charles De Gaulle」

The recording in 1977 by a French cult avant-garde group. Although I can call it free jazz or improvisation, but this isn't such polite performance but more primitive and absurd, it's extremely thrilling. The shout by the vocalist has punch in common with Keiji Haino in Lost Araaf Era.

New Nambu (9) “Futo〜 Who was Hirohito Koyama?”

                                           Text:Onnyk

The review of the event organized at <Proto Theater> ( in Shinjuku district Takadanobaba )

不図  is a word we read “Futo”. It means “unintended”. This strange name project was planned to mourn for the person called Mr. Hirohito Koyama. I guess most people can’t remind soon when they hear his name.

He died at 58 years old. He died lonely before 60, we regard it as the cycle completed in one’s life, at his home in Hachiouji. The cause of death was brain infarction, not the first time. Although he wasn’t known well, but known to people who have involved in a part of avant-garde/experimental art activities centered upon Tokyo. He wasn’t a professional artist, and also didn’t make money to live as a critic. However, he had an enough critical eye, which make us to think “It may be really great”, if he appreciated it.

La Morte Young - Untitled

A French group whose name is like a parody of La Monte Young. The performance isn't drone, but noisy improvisation which seem to be influenced from Fushitsusha or Swans. Also Cyril M., I'm interested in the current improvisation in France.

Battle Trance - Palace Of Wind I

The heavy and aggressive sound which they blow and blow the four tenor sax with circular breathing is as if it is combined Terry Riley with hardcore punk. I'd like fans of Arrington de dionyso to listen to.

Cyril M. - Diffraction

                                           Text:Onnyk

Anachronistic media, cassettes have been now paid attention to again. It is usual we connect sound sources downloaded on the smartphone to speakers or a headphone as tools for enjoying music. It was music players for MP3 use only before. Those have been integrated in tools called palmtop computers. I think the next one will be a wearable tool, it will be implanted in the body in the future. For example, one manipulates tools with biting the teeth by making the ticking.

German Villager - Phase2

Improvisational hardcore by the duo of the guitar and the drum in India. Although I hear they are influenced from Fushitsusha and Boredoms, I can understand it. I'd like fans of Senyawa to listen to.

The French improviser, Cyril M. will release the new tape "Diffraciton".

The French improviser, Cyril M. dared to tour through Japan in this January, although he was only 19 years old. He will release the new tape on early October.

Rully Shabara dan Rudy Wuryoko - Pak!

Vocal&drum duo by the member of Senyawa whose performance in Japan approaches. Improvisation injected the violent power from grindcore reminds us early Boredoms or Brutal Truth. You need to check the improvisation scene in Indonesia.

New Nambu(8) “Kouenbosatsudaizishikoukei (Also sprach Zarathustra) ”

                                           Text:Onnyk

<I shorten and rewrite the article which will be appeared on G-modern No.30 at this time. Because it’s not clear when this issue will be published, whether paper medium or on-line. This topic reflects the circumstance of the world. I was approved by Mr.Ikeezumi of Modern Music, when this article will be appeared on G-modern, I will rewrite taking the passage of good long time into account. Let’s get started.>

“Well, this is a picture of Keizou Miyanishi, isn't it?”

Two middle-aged women who were passing through the deserted amusement area in broad daylight stopped. One of them reacted the flyer stuck in front of the shop I set up as the venue. ( I see. I think there are latent Keizou Miyanishi fans still.) I would pursue them to invite the gig, but they unfortunately moved off. It was spring of 2010.

Norbert Eisbrenner, Conrad Schnitzler, Sven-Ake Johansson「Mariental-Horst」

Improvisation by the irregular formation of electric guitar, percussion, synthesiser. I've got into abstract and obscure atmosphere Mr.Dronemf.S who keeps uproading the underground sound sources of experimental/noise may like.

Vedda Music Workshop - Drumming No.1

The gig of the improvisation group leaded by Kenichi Takeda in 1983 at Seibu Koudou of Kyoto University. While metallic and minimal percussions are reverberating, the dark voice of Keiko Koyama which reminds Patty Waters echoes. This ritualistic session is like new urban ethnic music.

Gilles Vignes + Cyril M - Untitled @villa des cent regards

Improvisation somewhat like magic performed at the dim outside. The psychedelic guitar by Cyril M. is gradually getting intensity, he swallow up the venue by the vortex of noise. I'd like to Keiji Haino fans listen to.

Gasper Claus - Jo Ha Kyù out take with Keiji Haino

The outtake from the album "Jo Ha Kyu" by Gasper Claus who showed an amazing session with Cyril M. at Ongaku no jikan in this January. Duo with Keiji Haino which shows grace or intensity has a great presence by vivid recording.

Guardian Alien ‐ at Dunajam 2014

The gig of Guardian Alien who is decided to come to Japan in September at Dunajam 2014. With see in the background, a super drummer Greg fox keeps drumming and strong and beautiful voice of Alex Drewchin echoes.
